Committment
The Midland County Utility District (MCUD) was created by the State of Texas to ensure access to safe and dependable water service and fire protection for the communities within its defined boundaries. We hear the concerns being raised and understand the need for clear answers, steady leadership, and timely action.
We are committed to transparency, responsible governance, and long-term planning that reflects the needs of those we serve. As part of that commitment, the district is actively securing water rights from sources outside of Midland County to support long-term supply and system reliability.

In November 2026, voters will consider a bond proposition that will fund the critical infrastructure needed to begin delivering water service to those located in our SERVICE AREA. This is a vital step toward addressing water scarcity, protecting property, and building a stronger foundation for the future.
With experienced leadership and a focused mission, MCUD is here to listen, to respond, and to build a water future the community can trust.
Education & Outreach
New Programs & Public Engagement​
MCUD has embarked on a targeted and collaborative initiative to engage with the community. This effort aims to provide vital information about the organization's purpose, including its origins, state mandates, and requirements. Additionally, we will cover the functions, funding, and both current and upcoming projects that focus on facilitating water acquisition, storage, and distribution for families and businesses within the MCUD SERVICE AREA.

We will be hosting town hall meetings to gather feedback from our constituents - listening to you, answering your questions, and being open and transparent in the process. Our website will soon include videos and other media that will clearly explain the phases of our construction projects and describing in detail how the projects are designed for long-term, stable and robust water distribution.
