MCUD Celebrates opening of the new Dr. Shelton Viney Water Treatment Plant on May 14, 2026. Many were in attendance for the celebration at the new facility where guests got to sample glasses of drinking water straight from the tap of the new blue elevated water tank.

A big thank you to all who attended the ribbon cutting including Senator Kevin Sparks Speaker Tom Craddick, Midland County Judge Terry Johnson, Mayor Lori Blong, Midland County Commissioners, and Ben Spinks.
