Initial pumps will be installed to move water around the new water treatement facility, and pressurize the first distribution lines.  These will be the first of many pump needed at this facility to move water through the MCUD system.

The first phase of linking constituents to the MCUD water supply involves the construction of underground distribution lines to the new Greenwood ISD High School, and to the new Midland County Detention Facility. The anticipated date for substantial completion is April 2026.

It is necessary for a separate phase for the electrical necessary for each well site.

The next phase of Project A will be to build tanks both on the ground and an elevated water tank.  Storage is an important component to any water delivery system.

MCUD will be installing new fire hydrants along many of the new distribution lines.  This will further enhance and protect those in the MCUD service area.

A reverse osmosis system will treat the raw water collected by the facility and make it safe to drink.  This sophisticated system is an essential part of the MCUD water system.

Phase A.3 will connect all newly constructed infrastructure together and prepare the new facility for water distribution to MCUD's customers.

MCUD is in the process of drilling new water wells to supply water to its new system. This marks the initial phase of a multi-phase project aimed at providing water to its first customers.
